The Langenwalter team outside the Carmel office

About us

Same company, same crews, since 1995.

Langenwalter has cleaned carpet in Boone, Hamilton, Marion and surrounding counties for three decades. Our mission has not changed: give you the most outstanding carpet cleaning experience you have had.

Who we are

Family owned in Carmel, invited into homes across Indianapolis.

Langenwalter was established in 1995 by Jennifer and Mitch Mauck and still operates from the same shop on 99th Street in Carmel. We serve greater Indianapolis with residential and commercial cleaning, and if you think you have a tough stain, we are up for the challenge, including the ones other companies decline, like bleach spots and color loss.

We take the privilege of being invited into your home seriously. Our technicians are experienced, well trained and fully certified, using truck-mounted equipment and current methods rather than whatever fits in a van. The hot-water extraction method we use is the one carpet manufacturers specify in their warranties and the one recommended by the IICRC, the Carpet and Rug Institute and the EPA.

A lot of our people have been here for years. That is why customers tell us the same technician shows up visit after visit, and why the result is consistent. In 2026 that adds up to more than 200,000 jobs across Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Westfield, Noblesville, Zionsville, Brownsburg, Avon, Plainfield, Greenwood, Greenfield, McCordsville, Fortville, Castleton, Oaklandon, Eagle Creek, Lebanon, Cicero, Pittsboro, Danville, Camby, New Palestine and Pendleton.

$0 for what we can't remove The Langenwalter guarantee · since 1995

Our guarantee

No charge for what we can't remove.

If a spot won't come out with normal cleaning, we'll go after it. If we can't get it out, you don't pay for that spot work.

Pay for specialty stain removal and that spot is covered for 30 days. Spots sometimes wick back up from the padding as a carpet dries. We leave every customer a spot out bottle so you can lift it off the fiber tips whenever it's convenient. If that doesn't do it, we come back and touch it up at no charge, any time within those 30 days.

Some spots need significant extra time or a specialized process. When that's the case we'll tell you before we start: what's involved, what it costs, and whether it's guaranteed. You decide, and you'll never see a charge you didn't agree to in advance. If you choose the lighter treatment and the spot returns later, a return visit is a new job, starting at our $200 minimum within our service area, which is exactly why we explain the difference upfront.

What the guarantee covers: carpet, carpet dyeing and color repair, and commercial carpet. Pet stains depend on how deep the damage goes and what it takes to correct. Area rugs depend on the fiber, the stain, and how long it's been there. We don't guarantee stain removal on upholstery or on tile and grout. Those materials respond differently to treatment, and pushing harder risks damaging the piece. Either way, we'll tell you what's realistic before we start.

Why it varies: the fiber, the dye, how long a spot has been sitting, and whatever's already been used on it all change what's possible. Sometimes the honest answer is the lighter treatment that saves you money, not the full strip-and-redye.

What we don't guarantee: that your carpet will never get dirty again, or that your dog won't have another accident. Our guarantee covers the spot in front of us, on the terms we agreed at the visit.

The guarantee covers stains. It does not cover conditions that are not stains and that we identify before starting: permanent color loss on fibers that cannot be dyed, physical wear, and damage to the carpet backing. We point these out and discuss them with you before any work begins.

The stains we take on: bleach (by dyeing), wood stain, rust, burns, red stains, nail polish, hair dye, paint, ink, wax, makeup, coffee and most pet stains and odors. Each is covered on the terms above.

The Langenwalter fleet of truck-mounted cleaning vans

Equipment

Truck-mounted, every van.

Every Langenwalter van carries a truck-mounted hot-water extraction unit. The heat and vacuum it produces are what let us rinse soil out of the carpet and take the dirty water away with us, instead of leaving it to dry back into the fiber the way portable and rental machines do.

Our Carmel shop also houses a full rug-washing pit and a climate-controlled drying room for area and Oriental rugs.

Where we work

Boone, Hamilton and Marion counties and the communities around them.

Our office is on 99th Street in Carmel, which puts most of Hamilton County minutes away and all of Indianapolis within an easy drive. We have cleaned in these communities since 1995. If you are just outside the list, call and ask. We are often already nearby.
